Peer Coaching – Telkom

Digital Learning Competency 13 encourages teachers to
“initiate peer support and collaborative, workplace learning”.
(Professional Development Framework for Digital Learning, DBE, 2018)

This course is adapted from the Microsoft Partners in Learning Peer Coach programme. It is designed for implementation over a relatively extended period of time (no more than one year). The goal of the course is to develop a culture of peer coaching in the school which is based on all the principles and processes of the Partners in Learning peer coach model.

The instructional approach of the course is blended and it will require a minimum number of facilitated contact sessions, depending on the context of the school. It would be possible for  some schools to coordinate the course internally and for virtually all the facilitation to be done online, although at least one initial orientation session is advisable so that the participants become familiar with the learning management system and the principles of the course.
